A rock-cut tunnel entrance on the Stone Road

The Stone Road is a route carved into the rock that links Kemaliye to the canyons along the Euphrates. Work began in the second half of the 19th century, with the rock cut by hand and with explosives, and the road was completed in 2002; today it is used by walkers, cyclists and vehicles. Plan for a full day: the scenery changes all the way.
